Why Dave Bautista Returned to Our Studio–and Why You Should Too!

The Dave Bautista Sessions

Dave first visited our ADR studio in Budapest in August 2023 while filming The Killer’s Game. The project? A voice-over session for Mortal Kombat 1, a blockbuster fighting game developed by NetherRealm Studios and published by Warner Bros. Games.

Our client for the session was BOND, a Los Angeles-based creative agency renowned for its work in the gaming and entertainment industries. With a Zoom connection set up, Dave stepped into the booth and delivered his lines with the professionalism of a seasoned actor.

The session wrapped up within an hour—efficient, smooth, and exactly how we like it. Before leaving, Dave even surprised us by suggesting a group selfie, making the experience even more memorable.

But that wasn’t the last time we saw him.

The Recommendation That Brought an Oscar-Winning Director

Shortly after, Dave recommended our studio to none other than Parasite director Bong Joon-ho. The Oscar-winning filmmaker needed a top-tier setup for an animated feature film, and we were ready to deliver.

For this session, we went beyond standard voice recording. We set up two cameras in the booth—one for a close-up of the actor’s face and another for a wider shot—to assist with lip-syncing. With meticulous attention to detail, we ensured the microphones and recording settings matched the director’s vision. The session, connected via Zoom and Source Connect, took several hours, but the results were well worth it. Another successful project, another happy client.
